you write like...

I found this website to see what sort of writer I am.  You post an excerpt of your writing and through crafty algorithms and volunteer readers with degrees in literature (I assume), you get your results, like:

I write like
James Joyce
I Write Like by Mémoires, journal software. Analyze your writing!

While that result made me happy the first time I got it, that suspicious, can't-let-it slide portion of me did it again, just to see if those volunteer readers were right.  With the same excerpt, I got:

I write like
Dan Brown
I Write Like by Mémoires, journal software. Analyze your writing!

So really, you can't brag with these at all, but you can do it often until you get a result you like, such as:

I write like
Douglas Adams
I Write Like by Mémoires, journal software. Analyze your writing!

I guess I could always comfort myself and think that with all of these powers combine, you get my own writing, but that's just wishful thinking really.  But hey, try it out!  Impress your friends! Or feel better about yourself as you sit lonesome like at the bar.  That's depending on your results that is.
