you decide you want attention

I've been pretty early for my features writing class, not (just) because I'm a nerd who doesn't ever want to be late for class, but mostly because I drive to campus right before it starts.  I've got nothing else to do, so I just go to my classroom, and I'm usually the first person in the room (save for the professor).

Today, when the few of us piled into the classroom, our professor did the usual weird pacing in front of the room to assess our attitudes thing he does, when he stopped and by chance caught me judging him.  Okay, I'm sure he thought I was just trying to get his attention, when in reality I was trying to figure out what he was doing.  Then he realized his mistake and started to look away, so I decided I wanted to be in his focus and started to sit up and stretch my neck so he was looking at me, smiling wide and making my eyes bulge in a creepy face I didn't realize to later.

He laughed and just walked in the opposite direction.
