you just like Winnie the Pooh

I can't be the only one still in love with Winnie the Pooh.  I mean, he's a silly old bear, stuffed with fuff, and he talks like an old man who's had too many lemons.  He's goal oriented and knows what he wants and when he wants it.  He also exercises every morning.  We can learn a lot from this silly old bear.

So I chose to watch Winnie the Pooh, the 2009 movie that Disney came out with to reboot the franchise, while I worked on creating the photo invites for the store.  I honestly couldn't believe my luck that it was on.  I just spoke about it to Sam and Pam and how funny it was.

This scene kills it.  WARNING: this scene is in the movie and is possibly the funniest scene in it.  I think it peaks here.

See?  Comedic gold.

The only thing I didn't appreciate was the judgment passed on to me by our handy woman, Dolly, who came in while I was watching to install this fancy microwave-stove hood for us.

She was in the kitchen with my mom as I was busy designing and laughing at Winnie the Pooh.

"Yeah, she's a baby at heart," my mom said then laughed.

"Hey whatever makes her happy!" Dolly added.

I supposed it would be childish to yell back, "I can hear you and I'm not a baby and this is comedy gold!" So I refrained.  I also didn't justify my watching by saying how I was busy playing graphic designer, a very adult, responsible position at work thankyouverymuch!  Harumph.

Instead, I changed the channel to Gilmore Girls and had to miss out on the Winnie the Pooh credits where they show the real-life counterparts to the cartoon versions and where She & Him have a catchy adorable song playing over it.

So I let them shame me out of my enjoyment.

On the plus side, it was the Dave years on Gilmore Girls, and believing that the young, gawky, awkward, and nerdy Adam Brody could fall in love with an Asian girl sort of made up for it.
